This is the plain-English version of how Twin City Cannabis ("we", "us", "our") handles information about you when you use twincitycannabis.com.
The short version
- We don't sell your data. Ever.
- We don't ask you to create an account.
- We don't track you across other websites.
- We use Google Analytics and Meta Pixel to understand site traffic, and Kit (formerly ConvertKit) for the optional email signup.
- If you sign up for price alerts or contact us, we keep your email and any info you submit, and use it only to send you what you signed up for.
What we collect
Automatically (via analytics)
When you visit the Site, our analytics tools collect standard web data:
- Pages you view and how long you spend on them
- Approximate location (city / region, not precise GPS)
- Device type, browser, screen size, operating system
- How you found us (search engine, direct link, social media)
- Anonymous identifiers in cookies (so we can tell repeat visitors from new ones)
This data is aggregated and used to understand which pages are useful, which dispensaries are popular, and how to improve the Site.
When you sign up
If you submit the price alerts form, the dispensary inquiry form, or otherwise contact us, we collect:
- Your email address
- Your name (if you provide it)
- Anything else you choose to include in the form (dispensary name, phone, message)
How we use it
- To send you what you signed up for — price alerts, occasional updates, or a personal reply if you contacted us
- To improve the Site — what's working, what's broken, what people want more of
- To respond to dispensary inquiries — when a dispensary owner contacts us about a listing
Who has access
We use the following third-party services. Your data is subject to their respective privacy policies:
- Google Analytics — anonymous traffic analytics. Google's policy
- Meta Pixel (Facebook) — used for understanding ad performance if we ever run ads. Meta's policy
- Kit (ConvertKit) — handles the email signup forms and sends emails. Kit's policy
- Stripe — handles payment processing if a dispensary subscribes to a paid tier. We never see your full credit card number. Stripe's policy
- Cloudflare — runs the small backend that handles dispensary tier upgrades. Cloudflare's policy
- GitHub Pages — hosts the website itself. GitHub's policy
Cookies
The Site uses cookies for analytics and to remember your theme preference (light/dark mode). You can disable cookies in your browser settings, but some Site features may not work correctly.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe from emails — every email we send has an unsubscribe link in the footer. One click and you're out.
- Delete your data — email hello@twincitycannabis.com and we'll remove your email and any info you've submitted.
- Opt out of analytics — install a browser extension like uBlock Origin or Privacy Badger.
Children
The Site is intended for adults 21 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 21. If you believe we have, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top will reflect the most recent revision.
